Delete your Else-wer account
Last updated: 15 September 2026
Else-wer accounts do not exist with the developer. Every account lives on the audiobook server that you (or whoever runs it for you) host. The developer holds no account data and cannot delete or recover accounts on your server.
If you are the server admin
- Open the Else-wer app and sign in with an admin account.
- Go to Menu → Admin → Manage Users.
- Tap the account, then choose Delete user and confirm.
You cannot delete your own account or the last remaining admin. Sign in as another admin, or make another user an admin first.
If you are not the admin
Ask the person who runs your server to delete your account using the steps above.
What gets deleted
When an account is deleted, the server permanently removes:
- the username and password;
- listening progress and bookmarks;
- listening history and statistics, including finished books.
Nothing is kept afterwards. Audiobook files in the library are shared by everyone on the server and are not affected.
Data on your device
To remove what the app stores locally (sign-in details, downloads, cached covers), sign out, clear the app’s storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app.
Crash and usage reports
The only data the developer receives is anonymous crash and usage reports, which are not linked to your account. They are deleted automatically after 90 days. You can turn them off at any time in Menu → Privacy → Send crash & usage reports. See the privacy policy for details.
